Find out how Meditation can help you!

Why Meditation Is Beneficial…

Meditation offers a wide range of benefits. It brings peace, harmony and understanding to many aspects of our lives. We can begin to open ourselves to deeper aspects of Self by taking time out of our day to sit and be still. In these times of modern day technology, no one makes time any more. How are we to evolve if we do not take time for our- Self? Meditation is a gateway, a door to the inner world and our true inner being. You can call it the upgrade to your higher potential. Only those who are truly successful meditate.

Overworked, overstressed and just plain tired…

Take time for yourself and relieve the daily stresses of life, feelings of loneliness or depression through meditation. Allow the body to go into a therapeutic brain state which increases positive emotions, immune function, emotional control, and deeper awareness on many levels. Research shows that meditation has an impact on weight loss, relationships, chronic disease, pain and sleep.

How Can Meditation Help…

“Humans are addicted to thinking,” – Eckhart Tolle. Are the thoughts you are thinking useful? Most of the time the thoughts you are thinking are negative. These usually out way the positive by 5 to 1. Our thoughts can affect how we feel. Wouldn’t it be worth the time to slow down the thoughts and be more in control of what we are thinking? This is where meditation comes in handy. There are many forms of meditation but all have the ability to teach us to slow down the thoughts and potentially get us to a point where we have no thought for a short period of time. By doing this we are teaching ourselves to be in control of our thoughts so the next time you are triggered by someone in traffic and or you get that call from your mother-in-law, your thoughts aren’t on a runaway train going 80 miles an hour through an emotional rollercoaster. By meditating, you become aware of the thoughts and how they make you feel. The more you practice meditation, the more you consciously decide what thoughts you choose to think. By consciously choosing your thoughts instead of being at the mercy of them, your life looks peaceful, your mood and emotions are stable and you will be more focused and less reactive in your life. Just a few minutes a day can change your life for the better.

How Meditation Works…

Meditation is a practice that that trains your mind and focuses your thoughts.  This practice will help you develop an awareness into your life which can bring insights and relieve certain stresses that can cause anxiety at the same time as enhancing mood and a greater overall health.  This enhances your brain function and rewires the neural pathways that reduce stress by releasing endorphins and enhance concentration.

How Can I Meditate If I Don’t Have The Time…

Life is meant to be full and prosperous.  Let me ask you, how can you be full and prosperous if you ‘don’t have time?’  Well, there is a way, a way to begin and that is to sit for 5 minutes and set aside time to give to your Self.  Time on it’s own is a fabrication of your world.  You have time for anything you make a priority. Unfortunately many of your priorities tend to be around making money and escaping the daily stresses of your lives, through foods, addictive behaviors or television.  Learning to meditate and demanding to take time for your Self is better than any magic pill you will ever find.  Even sitting in your car before you turn the key in the morning, closing your eyes and stilling your thoughts for 60 seconds will have innumerable positive impacts on your life that day.

Whether you are a beginner or a yogi, you do it for 5 or 50 minutes, meditation offers each of you the same benefits.  Stick with it and open up to deeper aspects of your Self.
